Time can wear out just about anything, even if it is made from galvanized steel which is why we offer Electrogalvanized 3/16-inch Steel Swing Chain by the foot. Even if time isn’t the culprit, there are instances that the chain currently holding a swing needs to be switched out for belt seats instead of bucket seats requiring a longer chain. In those cases, it might make sense to order a few lengths of chain rather than a pail, barrel or drum. In other cases, perhaps you’d like to save the time and effort needed to cut a larger number of chains. If you have twenty or thirty chains to replace, that’s a lot of measuring and cutting.
